What they need

Ascension Construction Solutions is seeking a full-time Scheduler to support hyper-scale data center projects. This role goes beyond schedule data entry and focuses on applying construction engineering knowledge, sequencing expertise, and critical path analysis to actively support project planning, execution, and decision-making.

The Scheduler will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and Quality/Commissioning teams to develop, analyze, and maintain schedules that reflect real-world construction means and methods. The successful candidate will use scheduling as a project management tool to identify risks, support recovery strategies, and improve overall project performance.

Additionally, this role may require both short‑term and long‑term travel to project sites as needed to effectively support planning, coordination, and field execution.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

  • Perform all duties with honesty, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders to ensure schedule intent, constraints, and risks are clearly understood.
  • Develop logic-driven CPM baseline schedules based on construction sequencing, phasing, and means-and-methods—not just activity lists.
  • Prepare summary-level and detailed schedules that support executive reporting as well as field-level execution.
  • Apply construction engineering judgment to:
  • Define realistic activity durations
  • Establish appropriate logic ties
  • Identify critical path and near-critical work
  • Evaluate schedule impacts and mitigation options
  • Perform monthly schedule updates, analyze variances, and clearly explain changes, delays, and productivity trends.
  • Compare current schedules to baselines and prior updates to assess performance and forecast completion.
  • Lead and participate in pull planning and collaborative scheduling sessions, translating field input into executable CPM schedules.
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Engineers, Quality, Commissioning, and other stakeholders to validate sequencing, constraints, and milestones.
  • Proactively identify schedule risks, constructability issues, and opportunities for optimization or recovery.
  • Support special schedule analyses, including look-ahead planning, what-if scenarios, and delay impact evaluations.
  • Understand public health and safety requirements and integrate safety considerations into construction sequencing and planning.
  • Facilitate scheduling meetings and document key decisions, assumptions, and action items when required.
  • Support night-shift or off-hours work as needed to align with project operations.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed to support project success.
