Scheduling Coordinator (Temporary)

Job Overview
Receive phone calls, emails, and forms from nurses and care attendants regarding planned and unplanned time off; call in staff to fill these vacancies. Order medical supplies under the direction of the Director of Care. This opening is for an indeterminate time period while the regular incumbent is away.

Duties

• Call in staff and coordinate daily scheduling within the guidelines of operational policies and the applicable union collective agreements., ensuring that scheduling needs are met promptly and effectively.
• Provide support by producing and maintaining daily staffing reports, ordering supplies.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and clerical skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Very good people-skills.
• Previous experience in a scheduling role in a unionized environment is preferred.
• Proficiency with using Excel spreadsheets with formulas is preferred.
• Familiarity with ComVida Payroll is a plus.
