Scheduling Coordinator with Home Care experience

We are currently seeking a dedicated Home Care Scheduling Coordinator to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and maintain client and caregiver schedules to ensure consistent and appropriate coverage based on each client's care needs.
• Match caregivers with clients based on availability, qualifications, experience, location, and the specific needs of each case.
• Communicate regularly with clients, caregivers, families, and members of the care team regarding schedules, changes, and service needs.
• Respond promptly to call-outs, schedule changes, and last-minute staffing needs to maintain continuity of care.
• Monitor daily schedules and proactively identify potential coverage issues or scheduling conflicts.
• Follow up with caregivers regarding scheduled assignments, availability, and attendance.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling information within the agency's scheduling system.
• Document schedule changes, client requests, caregiver communications, and other relevant information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate new cases and staffing assignments while ensuring all scheduling details are communicated clearly to the appropriate parties.
• Work closely with the clinical and administrative teams to support the smooth and efficient delivery of home care services.
• Provide professional, compassionate, and responsive customer service to clients, caregivers, and their families.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in home care, healthcare scheduling, staffing, or a related healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of the unique scheduling needs and challenges associated with providing care in clients' homes.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to remain calm, resourceful, and solution-oriented when handling last-minute changes or staffing challenges.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and scheduling information.
• Comfortable working with computer systems, scheduling software, email, and other office technology.
• Dependable, professional, compassionate, and committed to providing excellent service to clients and caregivers.
