Job Overview

❤Make a Real Difference – With a Company That Values You

At Eden Brook Home Care, we’ve been delivering high-quality, compassionate care since 2012. As we expand into new areas, we’re looking for kind, reliable people to join our growing team.

About the role:

Eden Brook Home Care is looking for an organised, proactive Scheduling Manager to coordinate our care rotas and help ensure clients receive reliable, consistent care that meets their individual needs.

You will work closely with management and carers, building strong working relationships and making sure our care rounds are organised as efficiently as possible. This means balancing client needs, carer availability, travel time and continuity of care, while responding calmly to changes.

Our clients come first. Alongside managing schedules, you must be willing and able to deliver care when cover is required. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes ownership, supports their colleagues and understands the importance of keeping the service running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, maintain and review care rotas, ensuring all visits are allocated appropriately.
  • Organise efficient care rounds, considering travel time, visit timings, carers’ skills and clients’ preferences.
  • Maintain continuity of care wherever possible, helping clients build familiar, trusted relationships with their carers.
  • Keep up to date with changing client needs and adjust schedules in consultation with management.
  • Manage scheduling changes, including staff absence, annual leave, new clients and changes to care packages.
  • Build positive working relationships with carers.
  • Communicating rotas and changes clearly and promptly.
  • Work closely with management to identify gaps in staffing, available capacity and opportunities to improve scheduling.
  • Respond promptly to scheduling concerns, helping prevent missed or delayed visits.
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and handle confidential information professionally.
  • Support safe service delivery by reporting care concerns and following company procedures.
  • Provide direct care cover when required, working within your training and competence.

On call Responsibilities

Once trained, you will join the on-call rota for one night per week and one weekend per month.

During these periods, you will take responsibility for the service phone outside office hours, responding to calls from carers and clients, managing unexpected issues and arranging cover where needed. You must also be prepared to deliver care yourself when required and escalate concerns appropriately.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience managing schedules and rotas, ideally within domiciliary care or a similar service.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise, solve problems and remain calm under pressure.
  • Clear, professional communication and a supportive approach to working with carers.
  • Confidence using scheduling software and maintaining accurate records.
  • An understanding of person-centred care and the importance of reliable, timely visits.
  • A flexible, dependable approach and the ability to take responsibility for decisions.
  • The willingness and ability to provide hands-on care cover and fulfil the on-call commitment.
  • Previous hands-on care experience is desirable.

What we offer

  • A basic salary of £33,500 per year.
  • Fully funded training
  • 37.5 hours a week + on call.
  • Opportunities for overtime.
  • 28 days’ annual leave.
  • Pension.
  • A key role working closely with management and our care team.
  • The opportunity to make a direct difference to the quality and consistency of care our clients receive.

Pay: From £33,500.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Company pension
  • On-site parking
  • Sick pay

Work Location: In person
