What they need

We are looking for a proactive Scheme Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operation of one of our Later Living schemes. You'll work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver high-quality housing services, supervise scheme staff, and ensure excellent health and safety and compliance standards for our customers.

What do our Scheme Coordinator’s do;

  • Deliver high-quality housing management services, including allocations, lettings, tenancy sign-ups, void management, arrears monitoring, and supporting customers to maximise their income.

  • Ensure the scheme remains safe, compliant, and well maintained through risk assessments, health and safety inspections, building checks, repairs management, and accurate record keeping.

  • Provide excellent customer support by carrying out daily wellbeing checks, responding to emergencies, offering advice and guidance, and working closely with external agencies to support tenant welfare and safeguarding.

  • Build strong partnerships with colleagues, contractors, community organisations, and funding bodies, while organising social activities and initiatives that enhance the customer experience.

  • Lead and develop the scheme team through effective supervision, coaching, recruitment, communication, and performance management, ensuring high levels of service delivery and customer satisfaction.

What we are looking for;

  • Good standard of education, with an awareness of health and safety and a commitment to delivering safe, customer-focused services.

  • Experience of working directly with customers and the ability to identify and respond to the needs of older people; experience in a supported housing environment is desirable.

  • Knowledge of tenancy and property management, with an understanding of welfare benefits considered advantageous.

  • Strong communication, organisational and ICT skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.

  • Confident in responding to emergencies and facilitating social activities, events and meetings that promote customer wellbeing and community engagement.

In addition, we are looking for candidates that have a passion to advocate on behalf of people and communities.

We're committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all colleagues to share this commitment. As this job is based in a supported housing project for vulnerable adults, an enhanced criminal records background check (free of charge to you) is required. A criminal conviction does not necessarily stop you from working with us. All decisions regarding convictions will be made on a case-by-case basis. Further detail on our commitment to safeguarding young people can be found in our Safeguarding policy attached alongside this vacancy’s candidate pack.

We offer a range of great benefits including:

  • 33 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, and a holiday a buy scheme.

  • Company pension scheme with up to 10% matched contributions

  • Company funded access to a health cash plan, where you can claim back costs of everyday health treatments such as optical, dental and much more.

  • Enhanced sick pay with up to 3 months full pay and 3 months half pay

  • Health and Wellbeing Support including an employee assistance programme, free counselling, mental health first aiders and numerous wellbeing initiatives

  • Life assurance subject to being a member of our company pension scheme.

  • Learning and development to support you to develop the skills you need to fulfil your role and progress in your career

  • Commitment to Equality and Inclusion with employee network groups covering anti-racism, LGBTQ+, disability and long-term health conditions, carers, and menopause.
