Responsibilities

• Assist in managing classroom routines and behavior management strategies to create a structured and positive environment.
• Supervise children during indoor activities, outdoor play, meals, and transitions to ensure safety at all times.
• Support the planning and implementation of age-appropriate educational activities, including arts, crafts, games, and enrichment programs.
• Maintain clear communication with lead teachers, parents, and team members to support each child's individual needs.
• Apply first aid and CPR protocols when necessary to ensure children's safety and well-being.
• Facilitate youth group activities and camp-style experiences that promote teamwork, leadership, and social skills.
• Uphold health and safety standards by following childcare regulations, emergency procedures, and first aid protocols.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in educational, childcare, camp, or youth program settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques.
• Certification in CPR, First Aid, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols are required or must be obtained upon hire.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to supervise multiple children effectively.
• Experience facilitating youth development programs or outdoor work experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members.
• Ability to work outdoors as needed and adapt to various activity settings.
• Background in special education or theater experience is beneficial for creating inclusive and engaging activities.

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
