Responsibilities

• Safely operate school bus along designated morning and afternoon routes, Monday to Friday, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical safety and readiness, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and fluid levels.
• Assist students boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring proper behavior and safety procedures are followed.
• Communicate clearly with students, parents and school staff to coordinate schedules and address any concerns promptly.
• Maintain a friendly, professional attitude that promotes a positive experience for students.
• Follow all state and local regulations related to commercial driving and student transportation.
• Keep accurate records of routes, incidents, maintenance issues, and student attendance when required.

Experience

• Prior 1 year experience working as a school bus driver is highly valued.
• Valid Class B commercial driver’s license required
• Mechanical knowledge or experience performing basic vehicle inspections is advantageous.
• Bilingual skills in Punjabi and English are a strong plus, enabling effective communication with parents and students.
• Demonstrated communication skills to interact confidently with students, parents, school staff.
• A clean driving record and commitment to safety are essential for success in this role.
