School Cleaner

Term Time only position within a School - Fairwater Cardiff

Hours Monday to Friday 6am to 8.30am

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented School Cleaner to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within school premises. Your efforts will ensure that students, staff, and visitors enjoy a hygienic and well-maintained space every day.

Duties

• Perform daily cleaning tasks across various school areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas
• Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies to thoroughly clean floors, surfaces, windows, and fixtures
• Ensure restrooms are sanitized regularly and stocked with necessary supplies
• Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for all staff and students
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel
• Maintain cleanliness logs and complete cleaning checklists to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently
• Adhere to established cleaning schedules and protocols to meet school standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in working within a school environment is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
• Good physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy items when necessary
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices

Current DBS is required

This is a term time only position

Hours Monday to Friday 6am to 8.30am

Pay: £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 12.5 per week
