School Cleaner (part-time)

you will be required to have an Enhanced DBS certificate for this role due to working with children.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
• Maintain high standards of hygiene by disinfecting surfaces, trash removal, and sanitizing high-touch areas regularly
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently within scheduled timeframes to support school operations
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper to ensure continuous availability
• Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel
• Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks during school breaks or designated times

Requirements

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work preferred
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
• Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within scheduled shifts
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards teamwork and school community values

Pay: £12.80 per hour
