School Cleaner - Term Time Only

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School Cleaner to join our team on a term-time only basis to work from 3pm to 7pm Monday to Friday.. This vital role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors throughout the school day. As a School Cleaner, you will play a key part in ensuring the premises are hygienic and well-presented, supporting the overall safety and well-being of everyone on site. Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of classrooms, corridors, toilets, kitchens, and other communal areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and supplies
• Maintain high standards of hygiene by disinfecting surfaces, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies as needed
• Ensure all areas are kept tidy and free from hazards to promote safety for students and staff
• Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including the safe handling of cleaning chemicals
• Report any maintenance issues or damage to designated personnel promptly
• Work efficiently within allocated timeframes to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed before or after school hours
• Adhere to school policies and procedures to support a clean and secure environment during term time only

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
• Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as vacuums, floor polishers, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
• Good organizational skills to manage daily cleaning routines efficiently
• Reliable with a positive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning practices
• Excellent communication skills to follow instructions clearly and report issues accurately
• Enhanced DBS will be required.

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
