Job Overview

Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks across classrooms, hallways, restrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Operate various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces.
• Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation procedures, following all safety protocols and handling safety procedures diligently.
• Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture, supplies, and cleaning materials using safe lifting practices.
• Maintain custodial supplies inventory and ensure proper storage and disposal of cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as painting or repairs as needed to support the overall upkeep of the school environment.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to staff requests for cleaning or maintenance assistance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles within educational or commercial settings.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and custodial equipment operation.
• Ability to handle chemical agents safely following chemical handling safety procedures.
• Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Good communication skills with a friendly approach to interacting with staff and visitors.
• Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus.
• Clean criminal background-Must pass all clearances (Fingerprint, criminal and Child abuse)

Pay: From $15.50 per hour
