School Driver

Responsibility

• Driving Students & executive Staff
• Transport students from multiple locations to and from school, and for special events such as field trips.
• Assist students with getting on and off the van/bus as needed.
• Discipline student as needed to maintain a safe environment for all passengers.
• Ensure safety of all passengers
• Perform duties pertaining to care and maintenance of the vehicles using the vehicles checklist on regular basis, including cleanliness and routine safety inspections to ensure the vehicles are in good working conditions before and after use.
• For instance: ensure vehicle is mechanically sound at all times, inspect the lights, brakes, seats, sufficient fuel, safety belts.
• Obey all traffic laws.

General driving duties :

• Transport staff to various locations
• Despatch documents, mails, etc.
• Attend safety meetings as required.

Secondary Duties & Responsibilities :-

• Support Facility & Maintenance - Non-Driving Related Task
• To provide general support to the Facility Team as directed.

For instance :-

• Perform building maintenance task
• Replace light bulbs in buildings when necessary
• Minor repair jobs.
• Upkeep of railings and walls painting support.
• Classroom arrangements
• Function set up
• To respond to facility related requests and inquiries.
• To perform ad-hoc duties whenever assigned by the superior.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Malaysia driving license with good driving safety record.
• Prior experience as a school van or bus driver would be highly advantageous.
• A polite and professional disposition
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
• Working knowledge of JB area
• Working knowledge of Waze/Google maps.
• Ability to resolve basic repair and maintenance problems.
• General handyman
