About the Role

As our School Librarian, you will be the central hub for intellectual growth and resource access within our school. You will play a crucial role in cultivating a vibrant learning environment by connecting our school community with information and fostering a love for reading. Your responsibilities will include:

• Efficiently managing and organizing all library resources, ensuring easy access for all users.
• Providing expert assistance to students and staff in research and book inquiries, guiding them with relevant materials.
• Conducting engaging library orientation sessions for learners from Year 1 to 12.
• Planning and implementing innovative library programs that enrich the curriculum and promote a culture of learning.
• Creating visually appealing and informative monthly library bulletin displays to highlight resources and events.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date library records and databases, ensuring efficient tracking and management of materials.
• Selecting and acquiring a diverse range of library materials that align with curriculum goals and cater to the diverse interests of our student body.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLIS) or a bachelor's degree in a related field
• Must be a Licensed Librarian
• Proven exceptional organizational and communication skills for effective collaboration
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for cultivating a love of reading and learning
• Strong research and information retrieval expertise
• Adherence to confidentiality and ethical information management standards
• Proficiency in library database systems
• Can start work immediately

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Ability to commute/relocate: Cebu City, Cebu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
