School Maintenance - Custodian

Pinecrest Sloan Canyon is seeking a reliable and dedicated School Maintenance/Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for approximately 2500 students and staff members. This position is critical to supporting the educational mission of our school by maintaining a welcoming and functional campus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Maintenance:
• Perform daily cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins regularly and dispose of waste appropriately.
• Assist in the setup and teardown of furniture and equipment for events and activities.
• Facilities Upkeep:
• Conduct routine inspections of the school premises to identify and address maintenance issues.
• Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, or report issues to the Maintenance Head for resolution.
• Maintain the school grounds, including litter pickup.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are followed, and report any safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Equipment and Inventory Management:
• Monitor and maintain cleaning and maintenance supplies inventory, and report needs for reordering.
• Operate and maintain custodial equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and administration to support school activities and functions.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
