School Maintenance Worker/Custodian

St. Francis Catholic School is looking for an individual who would like to engage and develop their ministerial practice in an educational institution. This position requires manual labor as described in the job title. Note that SFCS is looking for a friendly, warm, and dedicated worker, as this is a school of PreK through 8th grade students.

Knowledge and experience with facilities maintenance to include repair, maintenance, and installation of basic plumbing fixtures, cleaning of air-conditioning units, light fixtures, door knobs, and other school-related needs. Applicant must know how to safely use tools or hardware needed to complete the task at hand.

The custodial component will require basic knowledge of the appropriate use of cleaning agents and chemicals. School facilities must be thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and maintained throughout the day. This job component is on as as-needed basis (such as the absence of the school custodian).

Applicant must be versed in keeping updated inventory, in ordering of materials and supplies, and in receiving such materials.

Applicant must also be able to maintain the school grounds (knowledge of use of water blaster) and landscaping needs. In addition, individual must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, and be physically capable to perform required tasks and duties on a daily basis.

Pay: From $9.50 per hour
