This role involves working in a range of conditions (1 to 1, teaching assistant, Mentor)

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships with students through active listening, encouragement, and positive engagement
• Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development by implementing mentoring strategies
• Assist teachers and school staff in creating inclusive and supportive classroom environments
• Organize and facilitate small group activities that promote teamwork, confidence, and personal growth
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the wider support team to tailor mentoring approaches
• Promote respectful behavior and reinforce school policies to foster a safe learning atmosphere
• Participate in training sessions focused on youth work, special education needs, and mentoring best practices

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children or young people in educational or youth settings is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse student populations
• Demonstrated passion for mentoring, youth work, or supporting children’s development
• Knowledge of teaching methods or experience in special education is a plus
• Ability to remain patient, empathetic, and proactive in challenging situations
• A proactive attitude with excellent organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Pay: £90.00-£97.50 per day
