School Physical Therapist (PT) - Part-Time

Location: Missouri School for the Blind, 3815 Magnolia Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110 (on-site)

Pay: $65.00 per hour

Job type: Independent contractor (1099), contract, part-time

Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. | Approximately 16 scheduled hours per week

About the role

We are recruiting a Missouri-licensed Physical Therapist for an anticipated part-time school-based assignment at the Missouri School for the Blind. The PT will evaluate students and provide services that support motor development, posture, balance, mobility, physical access, and progress toward IEP goals. This opening is contingent upon contract award, client approval, and completion of all required screenings.

What you'll do

• Complete physical therapy assessments and interpret findings for educational planning.
• Address motor skills, posture, balance, mobility, transfers, and functional access in the school environment.
• Develop measurable PT goals and provide services aligned with student IEPs.
• Complete evaluations, service notes, progress reports, and recommendations accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and related-service providers to support safe student participation.

What you'll need

• Active, unrestricted Missouri Physical Therapist license.
• Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Knowledge of school-based assessment, IEP goals, documentation, and progress reporting.
• Reliable availability for the complete Tuesday-and-Thursday schedule.
• Ability to complete required screenings and provide a W-9 and professional liability insurance.

School-based, pediatric, visual-impairment, or complex-mobility experience is preferred.

Pay: $65.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• Missouri Physical Therapist license (Required)
