What they need

Part-Time School Programs Coordinator

Location: Hybrid. Remote work with one consistent weekday each week in person at The Studios Brookhaven in Brookhaven, Georgia.
Schedule: Part-time, approximately 6-10 hours per week, including one regular in-office day. Additional hours may be available during program launches, teacher hiring, semester transitions, and occasional urgent program needs.
Pay: $22–25 per hour, W-2 employee

The Studios Brookhaven is a growing arts, athletics, and enrichment company serving children and families in the Atlanta area. We operate after-school enrichment programs at independent schools and early-learning centers, including music, theatre, movement, sports, and creative classes.

Our school enrichment division currently serves nine partner schools with 23 active classes, and we are actively pursuing additional school partnerships. We are looking for an exceptionally organized, reliable, warm, and proactive School Programs Coordinator to help this growing part of our business run smoothly and scale thoughtfully.

This is not a sales-only role and it is not a classroom teaching position. It is a behind-the-scenes operations role for someone who enjoys supporting teachers, communicating professionally with school staff, keeping details organized, and building systems that make a program better over time.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a responsive, professional operational contact for school coordinators and program partners.
  • Prepare teachers for successful classes by confirming schedules, locations, arrival procedures, rosters, materials, school contacts, and other details before each semester begins.
  • Maintain organized records for each school, class, teacher, schedule, supply need, and program issue.
  • Help coordinate teacher coverage, substitutions, supplies, and other day-to-day needs.
  • Track open items and follow through so teachers and school coordinators are not left waiting for answers.
  • Handle occasional last-minute issues calmly and professionally. Resolve what is within your scope, and promptly communicate or escalate anything requiring leadership input.
  • Help prepare for renewals by tracking school feedback, class results, and items that need improvement before the next semester.
  • Use the regular in-office day to organize materials, meet with leadership and teachers as needed, prepare for upcoming semesters, and keep program priorities aligned with the broader studio.
  • Collect a short end-of-semester report from teachers about what they taught, what worked well, and useful activities or materials.
  • Build and maintain an organized resource library of lesson ideas, games, coloring sheets, curriculum materials, activities, and class plans that can be reused across programs.
  • Help source and organize prospective teaching candidates, review applications against established criteria, coordinate interviews or auditions, and maintain a candidate bench. Final hiring decisions will be made by company leadership.
  • Support school-growth efforts by researching prospective schools, organizing contact lists, maintaining outreach records, preparing materials, and helping schedule meetings. The company owner will lead sales conversations and close new partnerships.
  • Assist with limited parent-facing communication when needed for a small number of programs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional follow-through.
  • Clear, warm, professional written communication.
  • Experience in school administration, after-school enrichment, camps, tutoring, youth programs, education, studio operations, or a similar environment.
  • Ability to work independently from home while staying responsive and accountable.
  • Ability to reliably work one weekday each week in person at The Studios Brookhaven in Brookhaven.
  • Strong Google Workspace skills, especially Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and calendars.
  • Comfortable learning and using systems such as Asana, shared documents, and scheduling tools.
  • Good judgment about when to solve a problem independently and when to escalate it.
  • Comfort responding thoughtfully when plans change or an unexpected issue arises.
  • Genuine interest in helping children’s programs, teachers, and school partnerships succeed.

Growth Opportunity

This role begins part-time, but it is part of a growing area of The Studios Brookhaven. For the right person, strong performance may lead to increased hours, expanded ownership of program systems and teacher recruiting, and greater responsibility as we add school partners. We are looking for someone who is excited to help build a well-organized program from the inside as it grows.

Especially Helpful, But Not Required

  • Experience as a teacher, school administrator, camp director, enrichment coordinator, or youth-program manager.
  • Experience supporting hiring, recruiting, or teacher onboarding.
  • Familiarity with arts education, music, theatre, movement, sports, or early-childhood programming.

What Success Looks Like

Teachers arrive prepared. School coordinators receive timely, thoughtful communication. Supplies and rosters are organized. Small problems are handled before they become larger ones, and the right leadership person is looped in quickly when a decision is needed. Over time, the company builds a stronger teacher bench and a useful library of proven curriculum and activity resources.

If you are organized, dependable, thoughtful, and enjoy helping a growing children’s program run well, we would love to hear from you.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
