What they need

Full time, permanent

We are looking for an organised and approachable Tram House School Receptionist who can keep a busy school office running smoothly. You will often be the first person families, visitors and professionals speak to, so clear communication, sound judgement and attention to detail matter.

Job Purpose As School Receptionist, you will support the safe and efficient daily running of Tram House School. You will manage the reception area, welcome families and visitors, answer calls and enquiries, monitor shared inboxes and make sure information reaches the right colleagues.

You will maintain accurate administrative, visitor, transport and consent records. You will also coordinate deliveries, taxis, school trips, supplies and other practical arrangements. Working with the wider administration team, you will support parent and teacher evenings, school events and communication with families and local authorities.

You will need

  • Experience of general office tasks, including answering telephone enquiries, maintaining records, filing and carrying out basic research.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills, with close attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage changing priorities, use your initiative and remain professional in a busy school environment.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with families, visitors, colleagues and external professionals.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and to completing the training required for the role.

We welcome applications from people who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.

BeyondAutism is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young adults. All staff and volunteers are expected to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check. To apply for this role please send your CV and a covering letter to [email protected] .
