School Research Administrator

Salary- £28,063 - £30,185 per annum (pro rata)

This is a part time role (6 hours a day, 4 days a week)/ Fixed term for 1 year

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join the School Management Support Team at Nottingham Business School as a part-time School Research Administrator (24 hours per week). This is a one-year fixed-term role supporting the School's thriving research community and contributing to the delivery of a professional, efficient and high-quality administration service. The role will be based at our City Campus and will involve a mix of on-campus and remote home working.

As a School Research Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Heads of Research Centres and work with Research Centre staff to ensure effective administration of our Research Groups. You will play a key role in the organisation and administration of research programmes, acting as a central point of contact for academic colleagues, research students and a range of internal and external stakeholders. A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and support is essential.

The role offers a varied workload and will involve supporting research events and training activities, managing research student administration processes, coordinating meetings and committees, maintaining records and databases, and liaising with colleagues across the University, including the Doctoral School. You will also contribute to activities that support the School's research objectives, accreditation activity and postgraduate research experience.

Please submit a supporting statement of no more than 1,000 words demonstrating how you meet the requirements of the School Research Administrator role.

For more details, please take a look at the role profile. We'll still consider applications even if you don't meet every single one of the requirements, so don't be put off if you don't match them perfectly.
