School Speech-Language Pathologist

St. Elizabeth School is a nonpublic, special education school serving students grades 1 – 12, ages 6- 21. The School is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team five days per week.

FUNCTION:

· Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students’ communication needs and establish appropriate treatment goals.

· Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the student’s educational and related service team.

· Provide evidence-based speech and language therapy across a variety of settings and service-delivery models, including individual, small-group, classroom-based, and pull-out services.

· Integrate therapeutic interventions into classroom instruction and school activities to support students’ ability to access and participate in their educational program.

· Collaborate with teachers, special educators, SLPs, and other related service providers to develop coordinated strategies that address students’ communication needs across environments.

· Participate in co-treatment and co-teaching opportunities to promote a team-based approach to student intervention and skill development.

· Document student progress, adjust interventions as needed, and communicate recommendations and outcomes to educational teams and families.

· Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and engaging interdisciplinary culture within a private, nonpublic school setting.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

· Current Maryland license and/or eligibility for Maryland certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

· Experience providing speech and language services to children and/or adolescents, preferably in a special education or school setting.

· Knowledge and experience in the assessment and treatment of communication disorders and the ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and related service providers.

· Patience, empathy, flexibility, and a passion for working with students with special needs.

· All candidates must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.

· Willingness to drive a personal vehicle and/or school vehicle for school purposes, preferred.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $71,250.00 per year
