School Traffic Control Security Officer

Delta Security Solutions is actively hiring dependable, professional, assertive and proactive Level II and Level III Security Officers for our school traffic control assignment at a School.

We are seeking individuals who can confidently direct traffic, maintain a safe environment for students, parents and school personnel, and handle challenging situations with professionalism. Officers must be reliable, punctual and committed to working both daily shift

Work Schedule (Split Shift)

Monday through Friday

Morning Shift

6:30 AM – 8:30 AM

Afternoon Shift

2:30 PM – 4:30 PM

Both shifts are mandatory. Officers must be available for the full morning and afternoon schedule. Total scheduled hours are 20 per week, subject to the school's operating calendar.

Compensation

LEVEL II – NON-COMMISSIONED

$20/hour

Standard hourly rate for all hours worked.

LEVEL III – COMMISSIONED

$25/hour

Base hourly rate.

(Additional $5/hour for completing both shifts)

Level III officers who complete both scheduled shifts on the same day receive a $5-per-hour bonus for all four hours worked, bringing their total rate to $30 per hour for that day.

Daily compensation

If a Level III officer works only one shift, the $25 base rate applies to the hours worked that day. Bonus eligibility is subject to applicable wage and leave laws and the written compensation agreement.

Job Responsibilities

Officers will be assigned to outdoor traffic control positions during student drop-off and pickup. Responsibilities include:

• Directing and controlling vehicle traffic in accordance with established school traffic patterns.
• Maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow to minimize congestion and prevent accidents.
• Monitoring pedestrian crossings and assisting with the safe movement of students, parents and school personnel.
• Setting up, monitoring and removing traffic cones and other assigned traffic-control equipment.
• Maintaining a strong, visible and professional security presence.
• Providing clear, assertive directions to motorists while remaining calm and respectful.
• Identifying unsafe driving, wrong-way traffic, unauthorized parking and other potential safety hazards.
• Taking proactive action to prevent traffic congestion and unsafe conditions.
• Coordinating with other assigned officers, supervisors and school personnel.
• Reporting significant incidents, safety concerns and noncompliant motorists through established company procedures.
• Completing accurate end-of-shift reports and required documentation.
• Following all company policies, post orders, attendance requirements and supervisor instructions.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Hold a valid Texas Level II or Level III security registration appropriate to the assigned position.
• Be available to work both the morning and afternoon shifts, Monday through Friday.
• Have reliable transportation and demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Be confident, assertive and capable of directing traffic in a busy school environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication, situational awareness and problem-solving skills.
• Be able to remain standing and perform outdoor duties in varying weather conditions.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct themselves appropriately when interacting with students, parents and school staff.
• Successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, including a background check and drug test.

Training and Expectations

(On-the-job training provided)

Delta Security Solutions will provide site-specific training covering assigned traffic-control positions, established traffic patterns, pedestrian safety, incident reporting, radio communications and school-specific post orders.

We are looking for officers who take initiative, follow directions, work well as a team and can confidently manage traffic without constant supervision.
