School-wide Floater

Growing Together Preschool, Inc. is a private, nonprofit agency serving children 6 weeks to 5 years with and without special needs in a fully inclusive environment. We are NAEYC accredited, a STARS rated center and an Early Head Start partnership site. We maintain small group sizes in each classroom.

We offered KY's first Kentucky Proud Farm to Preschool program and are very focused on quality improvement, physical and mental health, and nurturing interactions. We are a Family Friendly certified center through the Prichard Committee.

The Floater is responsible for aiding classrooms in maintaining a classroom in compliance with licensing regulations, STARS, NAEYC and Head Start performance standards. Floaters are responsible for the daily care routines (feeding, changing, soothing, playing) and nurturing interactions with children in a group setting.

A minimum of a CDA is required. Individuals with an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education, Child Development or Child and Family studies are also qualified.

Compensation depends upon experience and credentials.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and have contact with urine and feces. May have to care for children with special medical needs and/or physical and mental disabilities.

Must have a passion for and knowledge of child development for all age groups.
