We are looking for a candidate to join our university's Communication Office as Science Editor / Content Editor who meets the following criteria:

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in science, social sciences, communications, journalism or a related field,
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
• Strong writing and editing skills.
• Ability to understand and communicate complex scientific and research topics clearly and accurately.
• Strong interviewing skills and the ability to engage effectively with researchers and academics.
• Editorial judgment, curiosity and attention to detail.
• Strong collaboration and organizational skills.

Job Description

Translate complex research into clear, engaging narratives tailored to different audiences (public, students, policymakers, media).

• Develop clear and engaging stories on research, publications, grants, awards and research impact.
• Conduct interviews with researchers and translate complex research into accessible narratives.
• Edit content for clarity, accuracy and tone.
• Adapt stories for different formats, including website features, news articles, press materials, social media and long-form content.
• Work closely with visual and multimedia teams.
