Science Lab Assistant

Job Scope:

·         Preparing teaching materials and learning activities based on Primary Science syllabus, upon teachers’ requests.

·         Assist students in the use of certain apparatus, as directed.

·         Assist in preparing training materials to students, parents and staff, as directed.

·         Assist in the preparation of apparatus, equipment and reagents for laboratory lessons.

·         Maintain the cleanliness of the two Science Rooms, including the preparation room.

·         Maintain apparatus in the Science Labs/ Rooms.

·         Maintain outdoor Science facilties and equipment in the school (including the ponds, garden, hydroponics system and Integrated Farming Systems (IFS); aquaponics).

·         Clean and operate food waste system and farming systems (e.g. Integrated Farming system, aeroponics and hydroponics systems)

·         Maintain stock check/ inventory system (e.g, T & L resources, lab equipments, Sparkle Kits, etc) on a termly basis.

Any other administrative task or indoor/outdoor science facilities and equipment maintenance related duties as assigned by the Authority

Qualifications and experience as follow:

·         At least a pass in PSLE English.

At least two years of working experience in school context as a science lab assistant.
