Job Overview

The Science Technician supports our Research team with the hands-on lab work behind cleaning technology development, analytical testing, and new products. You will prepare and run experiments, record accurate data, maintain instruments, and help keep the lab organized and safe. It's a great fit for a detail-oriented person who enjoys practical science and wants to grow their technical skills.

Responsibilities

• Run experiments: Prepare samples, solutions, and equipment, then perform routine tests, cleaning trials, and analytical measurements following approved methods.
• Operate instruments: Set up, calibrate, clean, and perform basic maintenance on assigned lab equipment after training.
• Record data: Capture observations, measurements, photos, and instrument outputs accurately in notebooks, spreadsheets, or approved data systems.
• Handle samples and materials: Label, track, store, and dispose of samples, chemicals, and test materials per lab procedures.
• Support the team: Flag unusual results or equipment issues, help troubleshoot, and prepare data tables and summaries for reports and project reviews.
• Keep the lab ready: Maintain clean, stocked, and safe workspaces and assist with inventory, restocking, and SDS organization.
• Work safely and improve: Follow all safety and quality procedures, and suggest ways to improve lab

What You Bring

• Attention to detail: Accurate labeling, data recording, and repeatable test execution.
• Lab fundamentals: Ability to follow written procedures, handle chemicals and equipment carefully, and use common lab tools.
• Data skills: Comfort entering and organizing data in Excel or similar tools and preparing simple tables or charts.
• Communication: Clear updates to scientists and teammates on status, observations, and issues.
• Safety mindset: Commitment to proper PPE use, safe chemical handling, and prompt hazard reporting.

Requirements

This role is based in a fast-paced, team-oriented laboratory with chemical handling areas, analytical instruments, and computer workstations. You'll work closely with the Research team and occasionally support demonstrations, training, or customer trials.

• Stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during sample prep, testing, and documentation.
• Handle small parts and precision tools, and lift or move objects up to 25 lbs.
• Wear required PPE (gloves, goggles, lab coat) and follow chemical-handling procedures.
• Read labels, instrument displays, and technical documents, and adapt to changing project priorities.
