Science Stream Tutor

About the role

Science Stream Tutor teaching Primary and Secondary students across multiple subjects including Science Stream subjects (Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Science) and core subjects (Bahasa Melayu, English, Sejarah). The role involves teaching students from different academic levels, from primary through to Form 5/SPM.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Primary and Secondary students according to classes assigned by management
• Teach Science Stream subjects including Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Science
• Teach core/non-science stream subjects when required, such as Bahasa Melayu, English, Mathematics, Science, and Sejarah
• Handle students from different academic levels, from Sekolah Rendah to Sekolah Menengah (Form 1–Form 5/SPM)
• Prepare lessons according to the current school syllabus and students' academic levels
• Explain concepts clearly and provide step-by-step guidance, particularly for calculation-based subjects
• Prepare suitable notes, worksheets, exercises, quizzes, and revision materials
• Conduct SPM revision, examination preparation, intensive classes, and academic programmes when required
• Monitor students' academic progress and report significant concerns or improvements to management
• Mark students' exercises, homework, quizzes, and assessments

About you

• Versatile tutor confident in teaching Science Stream subjects
• Capable of teaching core subjects at both Primary and Secondary levels
• Able to teach multiple subjects, particularly Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
• Able to identify students' strengths and weaknesses and provide appropriate academic guidance
• Maintain professionalism, punctuality, discipline, and good teaching ethics
• Willing to teach different subjects or levels based on the tuition centre's current academic and operational needs
