Science Technician

This position is responsible for providing resources as requested by the department for daily science lessons; managing the acquisition of resources for teaching science and applying the provisions contained in the Exempt Laboratory Regulations.

Person specifications for this job require someone who is well organised; can work independently; is collegial; collaborative, flexible and reliable.  Someone who has excellent interpersonal communication skills is also important.

A background in resource management and knowledge of science and chemicals may be helpful but not essential.  Training will be provided but the successful applicant will be receptive to feedback; following systems and professional learning opportunities.

Intended start date:  22 January 2027.  This position is for 30 hours per week, term time only to cover maternity leave for 6 months.

Hourly rate follows the Support Staff in Schools Collective Agreement, Science Technician Remuneration.
