Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Science/Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team in Woji, Port Harcourt. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting students’ academic development, and creating a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics and/or Science lessons appropriate to students’ learning levels.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, tests, and examinations.
• Assess students’ understanding and monitor their academic progress.
• Provide additional support to students who require help with difficult concepts.
• Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, practical learning, and active classroom participation.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, grades, and student performance.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a disciplined, respectful learning environment.
• Participate in school activities, meetings, training sessions, and other academic programmes.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students’ progress where required.
• Stay updated on effective teaching methods, curriculum requirements, and subject knowledge.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of NCE, B.Ed., B.Sc., B.Tech., or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Education, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of Mathematics and/or Science subjects.
• Previous teaching experience is an advantage.
• Good classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts and make lessons engaging.
• Proficiency in preparing lesson plans, assessments, and teaching materials.
• Passion for teaching and commitment to students’ academic success.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Candidates residing in or around Woji, Port Harcourt are preferred.

Compensation
