Role Overview

As a Scientific Computing / Research Engineering Expert - Earth Sciences , you will:

• Design realistic scientific computing tasks based on real-world Earth Science workflows
• Build computational workflows involving climate, atmospheric, geological, hydrological, oceanographic, and environmental data
• Develop reproducible environments and validate scientific outputs
• Create evaluation criteria to assess AI-generated solutions and scientific accuracy

Required Skills Experience

• PhD, postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced technical experience in Earth Sciences or related fields
• Strong expertise in at least one Earth Science domain
• Experience with scientific programming using:

  • MATLAB/Octave or similar tools
• Experience with:
  • Scientific data processing
  • Numerical modeling
  • Geospatial analysis
  • Environmental datasets
  • Time-series analysis
  • Linux/terminal-based environments

Work Mode: Remote
Engagement: Contractor Assignment
Duration: 10 weeks
Commitment: Full-time (40 hours/week) with 4 hours PST overlap
