About the role

The main role is to manage and operate a fungal laboratory focused on the propagation, maintenance, and scale-up of fungal isolates for production purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and operate a fungal laboratory focused on the propagation, maintenance, and scale-up of fungal isolates for production purposes
• Ensure proper filing and storage of data (hardcopy and softcopy) for further verification or references
• Assist in administration and operations related to projects task such as asset auditing, SOP establishment, lab equipment maintenance and reporting for smooth research operations
• Assist in the operation of a microbiology laboratory

Recruitment Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology or an equivalent qualification.

• Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

• Sound knowledge and practical experience in microbiological laboratory techniques and practices.

• Strong research, analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

• Knowledge in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

• Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Willing to work in Sabah and for 5.5 days per week.
