SCM Machine Service Technician

We are looking for a skilled and experienced SCM Machine Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of SCM woodworking and joinery machinery, ensuring smooth and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair SCM woodworking and joinery machines.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on CNC machines, panel saws, edge banding machines, drilling machines, planers, and other woodworking equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults.
• Inspect machinery and identify potential technical issues to minimize production downtime.
• Calibrate and adjust machines to ensure accuracy and optimal performance.
• Provide technical support to production operators and train staff on the proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for spare parts, repairs, and technical support.
• Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and equipment history.
• Follow all company safety procedures and ensure machinery operates in compliance with safety standards.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Diploma or technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a service technician for SCM woodworking machinery or similar joinery machines.
• Strong knowledge of CNC woodworking machines, edge banding machines, panel saws, and other joinery equipment.
• Good troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical diagrams, and machine manuals.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and machine breakdown repairs.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Previous experience in the joinery or furniture manufacturing industry is an advantage.
• Valid UAE driving licence is an advantage.
