Scm Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end SCM and procurement activities for plant operations.
• Develop and manage suppliers for mechanical, engineering and manufacturing components.
• Source materials as per project and production requirements.
• Float RFQs, evaluate quotations and conduct techno-commercial negotiations.
• Vendor development, qualification and performance monitoring.
• Ensure timely material availability as per production/project schedules.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Stores and Finance teams.
• Track purchase orders, delivery schedules and material shortages.
• Develop alternate sources and support cost optimization.
• Monitor supplier quality, delivery and commercial performance.
• Prepare SCM MIS, procurement reports and supplier performance reports.
• Handle critical and strategic procurement requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement processes and documentation.

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of relevant experience in SCM / Procurement.
• Mechanical Engineering background mandatory.
• Experience in Heavy Engineering / Manufacturing is strongly preferred.
• Strong experience in vendor development, sourcing and negotiations.
• Good understanding of mechanical components, engineering materials and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently manage suppliers and procurement activities.
• Good analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
