Screen Printers & Screen Printing Assistants

About the role

This is a hands-on production role working alongside our experienced screen printing team to produce high-quality printed garments in a fast-paced environment. You'll assist with setting up, running and completing jobs on our automatic screen printing presses, while helping ensure production stays on schedule and meets SSPRINT's quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and operation of automatic screen printing presses
• Review daily production schedules, job sheets, artwork and print specifications
• Prepare screens, inks, squeegees and equipment for production
• Load and unload garments during production runs
• Monitor print quality and ensure approved samples and specifications are followed
• Assist with press changeovers and preparation of upcoming jobs
• Help maintain consistent registration, ink coverage and overall print quality
• Work efficiently with printers and other production team members to keep jobs moving
• Minimise misprints, garment wastage and unnecessary downtime
• Clean screens, squeegees, tools, presses and production equipment

About you

• Previous screen printing, garment printing or production experience — preferred but not essential
• Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
• The ability to work efficiently and follow production instructions
• Good problem-solving skills
• The ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
• Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• A reliable, positive and professional approach to work
• The ability to work on your feet throughout your shift
• The ability to safely lift and move boxes weighing up to 25kg
