Screening & Bagging Plant Operator

Compass Sands Pty Ltd located at Dry Creek is a South Australian company dedicated to producing high quality graded silica sands and gravel products for the specialty, dry-mix, filtration, construction, oil and gas industries.

Pay rates (casual) – Quarrying Award [MA000055]:

·       Grade 2: $34.21 per hour

·       Grade 3: $35.90 per hour

The applicable grade will depend on experience. Hours offered Monday to Friday may vary. The position may be offered as permanent to a suitable candidate. Add expected salary to your profile.

Key Everyday Duties:

·       Operate front-end loader and forklift

·        Operate sand drying, screening and production machinery (including bagging plant)

·        Monitoring operation and safety of machines (including setup & shutdown)

·        General laboring, yard and work shed maintenance, cleaning and removing excess sand

·        Strong commitment to all Work Health & Safety laws ensuring compliance with policies and safety standards.

Who are you?

·       Competent and experienced in loading trucks with a forklift/operating front-end loader

·       Minimum 12 months+ in similar position

·        Be prepared to wear a Sundstrom fitted half face when undertaking all tasks

·        Be clean shaven

·        Pass a drug/alcohol and pre-employment medical

·       Hold current SA driver’s licence or ability to travel to work on time

·       Two references must be supplied for most recent periods of employment.
