Screenwriter

ReelLove is an upcoming platform for short-form animated vertical drama series. We’re currently developing our first slate of original content for our beta and are looking for screenwriters with experience in vertical drama, microdrama, and web fiction (wattpad, ao3).

For this project, I’m commissioning 10 full ep scripts, NOT outlines or just synopsis, full episodes, with each episode approximately 30–60 seconds long. No negotiations.

We are only interested in BL (boy’s love) stories involving high-emotion, addictive tropes such as enemies to lovers, fake dating, betrayal, second-chance romance, forbidden romance, obsession, love triangles, and fantasy/sci-fi romance. Bonus points if you’ve worked for major short drama platforms such as ReelShort, Dramabox, Vigloo, NetShort, or MoboReels.

Who we’re looking for: We’re on the hunt for someone that doesn’t just settle for doing the bare minimum. We want people that are used to over delivering, working hard, not making excuses, and exceeding expectations. Bonus points if you have references that can highlight this quality about you.

Here’s how it works. Don’t just apply here. Send previous works of microdramas in the above categories, your social media, and wattpad/ao3 handle if you have one to my email: [email protected]. If I'm interested, I’ll schedule a call with you to discuss next steps. Don’t send anything adjacent such as just synopsis or irrelevant writing samples cuz it won’t be considered.

You don’t have to be professional with me. I believe that the more professional someone tries to be, the more they try to larp n BS. Keep it simple, lead with results, and show me the value you can add for my platform.

Please note that this is NOT an entry-level role, so don’t waste your time applying if you don’t have any relevant experience yet. However, exceptions can be made for truly outstanding candidates that have a proven track record of high aptitude and can keep me hooked.

I have zero tolerance for nickle and diming, scams, or fraud. If I catch wind that you’re trying to pull a fast one on me, you’ll be blacklisted forever.
