Script Writer, Content Creator & Video Editor

We are looking for a talented and experienced Script Writer, Content Creator & Video Editor to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone who can take an idea from concept to finished video—from writing compelling scripts and creating engaging content to producing polished, high-quality videos.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of storytelling, social media content, audience engagement, and modern video-editing techniques.

Key Responsibilities

Script Writing

• Develop engaging, creative, and compelling scripts for social media videos, advertisements, educational content, and other digital platforms.
• Research topics and transform ideas into clear, entertaining, and audience-focused scripts.
• Write strong hooks, storytelling sequences, calls-to-action, and video narratives that drive engagement.
• Adapt scripts to different platforms, audiences, and content formats.

Content Creation

• Generate fresh and creative content ideas based on current trends, audience interests, and brand objectives.
• Develop short-form and long-form video content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and other digital channels.
• Stay up to date with social media trends, viral formats, storytelling techniques, and content strategies.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop concepts that align with the brand's voice and goals.

Video Editing

• Edit high-quality, professional videos for social media, marketing campaigns, advertisements, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
• Handle video editing from raw footage to final delivery, including cutting, transitions, sound design, color correction, subtitles, graphics, and effects.
• Create visually engaging videos that maintain strong pacing and audience retention.
• Select appropriate music, sound effects, footage, images, and visual elements to enhance storytelling.
• Ensure all videos meet professional quality standards and platform-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Proven track record in script writing, content creation, and video editing.
• Demonstrable experience producing successful and engaging video content.
• Strong experience editing high-quality, professional videos is essential.
• Excellent storytelling and creative writing skills.
• Strong understanding of video pacing, hooks, audience retention, and social media content.
• Proficiency with professional video-editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently deliver polished work.
• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to understand a brief and turn it into compelling visual content.
• A creative mindset with the ability to generate original ideas and experiment with new formats.

Portfolio & Proof of Experience

Applicants must provide a portfolio or proven track record of previous work demonstrating their skills in script writing, content creation, and video editing.

Candidates should be able to provide examples of high-quality videos they have personally edited, preferably showing a range of styles, formats, and projects.

Applications without verifiable examples of previous work may not be considered.

Pay: ₦150,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
