Scrum Master BSA

Role Overview
The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) & Scrum Master role adds rigorous requirements elicitation, data flow mapping, Agile process facilitation, complex problem resolution, guidance and support for engineering teams, functional documentation reviews, and use of modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance enterprise API and event-driven data streaming initiatives. Senior BSA and certified Scrum Master with a strong technical background in API development, event-driven architectures (Kafka / DSP), and backend data flows.

Creates and leads the functional design, API contract specifications (OpenAPI/Swagger), user story mapping, and backlog grooming for high-throughput backend microservices and streaming platforms. Proposes & designs business-to-technical solutions to address complex enterprise data and offer-distribution needs. Prepares functional, data flow, and Agile process documentation required. Facilitates complex problem resolution, blocker removal, and cross-functional team alignment between business operations and core Java engineering squads. Provides guidance and support to team members regarding requirements clarity, acceptance criteria, and Agile ceremonies. Reviews functional testing plans and deliverables. Applies modern principles, methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, Agile frameworks) to advance delivery velocity and release capabilities.

Customer Focused - Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs, downstream channel delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions, leveraging that information to build robust platform workflows.

Managing Risk - Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with data distribution, offer eligibility rules, and compliance standards to ensure they adhere to and support the company's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

**Required Qualifications/**Skills 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
• 8+ Years of overall experience preferably in a large banking / financial institution environment, bridging technical engineering teams with business stakeholders.
• Strong Business Systems Analysis experience within complex backend, API, and data integration environments
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification with hands-on experience running daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Familiarity with Event-Driven Architectures (EDA), Data Streaming Platforms (Kafka), and JSON/REST API payloads
• Ability to map technical data flows (e.g., eligibility processing, customer offer distribution, downstream channel integrations)
