Scrum Master

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Scrum Master with 8-12 years of experience to facilitate Agile delivery and ensure effective implementation of Scrum practices across project teams.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Jira and should be capable of driving Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, tracking delivery metrics, managing dependencies, and facilitating collaboration between business and technical stakeholders.

The candidate should have strong experience working with cross-functional technology teams and be able to drive teams toward predictable, high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities Agile Scrum Management

• Act as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams.
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including:
  • Sprint Planning
  • Daily Scrum / Stand-up
  • Sprint Review / Demo
  • Sprint Retrospective
  • Backlog Refinement
• Ensure Scrum principles, Agile values, and practices are properly followed.
• Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile/Scrum principles.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and self-organizing teams.
• Identify and remove impediments/blockers affecting team productivity.
• Ensure effective collaboration between Product Owner, Business Analyst, Developers, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
• Monitor sprint progress and ensure commitments are realistic and achievable.
• Facilitate resolution of conflicts within the team.

Jira - Mandatory

• Strong hands-on experience with Jira.
• Create and manage:
  • Epics
  • User Stories
  • Tasks
  • Bugs
  • Sub-tasks
  • Sprints
• Configure and maintain Jira Scrum/Kanban boards.
• Track sprint progress, backlog, velocity, blockers, and dependencies.
• Prepare and monitor Agile dashboards and reports.
• Track Burndown/Burnup, Velocity, Sprint Progress, Cycle Time and other Agile metrics.
• Ensure Jira is updated accurately and used effectively by the project team.
• Work with Product Owners and Business Analysts to maintain a healthy product backlog.

Delivery Project Coordination

• Track sprint and release commitments and highlight risks proactively.
• Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to manage cross-team dependencies.
• Track action items and ensure timely closure.
• Provide regular status updates to Project Managers, Delivery Managers, and senior stakeholders.
• Support release planning and roadmap execution.
• Monitor team capacity and sprint utilization.
• Ensure timely escalation of critical delivery issues.
• Support management in identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as a bridge between business, product, technology, QA, and management teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and resolve delivery-related concerns.
• Communicate project progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
• Manage expectations of Product Owners and business stakeholders.
• Conduct Agile governance meetings where required.

Continuous Improvement

• Analyze team performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Drive retrospective actions to closure.
• Improve team productivity and delivery predictability.
• Establish and monitor relevant Agile KPIs and metrics.
• Identify process gaps and implement appropriate improvements.
• Promote automation and efficient Agile practices.

• Experience managing Epics, Stories, Tasks, Bugs and Sub-tasks.

3. Agile Tools

Good knowledge of one or more:

• Confluence
• Azure DevOps
• MS Teams
• Miro
• SharePoint

Required Experience

• 8-12 years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 4-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong hands-on Jira experience is mandatory.
• Experience handling multiple teams/projects is preferred.
• Experience working with distributed/onsite-offshore teams is an advantage.
