Senior Scrum Master | Major Banking Transformation

• Daily Rate: $1,080 per day + Super
• Duration: 12-Month Contract
• Start: ASAP
• Location: Sydney CBD , Hybrid Working | 2-3 Days per Week in Office

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master to join a major transformation portfolio within one of Australia's leading banking organisations.

This is a high-impact delivery role suited to someone who has built their career leading large-scale enterprise transformation programs within complex banking environments. You will bring demonstrated experience supporting initiatives valued at $20M+, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and the confidence to influence outcomes across senior business leaders, technology teams and delivery executives.

More than a facilitator, you'll be a trusted delivery leader who proactively identifies risks, navigates competing priorities and drives momentum across complex programs of work. Success in this role will require strong commercial judgement, executive-level communication skills and the ability to build credibility quickly in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

The successful candidate will join a strategic Financial Crime transformation portfolio, working alongside senior leaders to deliver business-critical outcomes that support the organisation's regulatory, risk and compliance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Agile delivery across complex transformation initiatives
• Facilitate collaboration between business, technology and delivery stakeholders
• Proactively identify, assess and manage risks, dependencies and impediments
• Drive delivery outcomes through effective planning, governance and stakeholder engagement
• Support and coach delivery teams to maximise performance and continuous improvement
• Provide transparency around delivery health, progress and emerging risks
• Challenge constructively and influence decision-making to achieve successful outcomes
• Build strong, trusted relationships across senior leadership and delivery teams

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Extensive experience as a Scrum Master within large-scale banking transformation programs
• A proven track record delivering complex enterprise initiatives valued at $20M+
• Strong banking and financial services experience, ideally within tier-one institutions
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• The confidence and credibility to engage with senior executives and delivery leaders
• Demonstrated ability to identify risks and issues independently rather than relying on escalation from others
• A proactive, outcome-focused approach and a reputation for getting things done

Highly Regarded

• Experience delivering Financial Crime, Risk or Regulatory transformation programs
• Previous experience within major Australian banking organisations including NAB, Commonwealth Bank, Macquarie or Westpac
• Experience delivering within highly regulated environments undergoing significant change
