Scrum Master – Cloud, Security & Infrastructure

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support technology initiatives within a fast-paced IT environment. This role will work closely with Scrum teams, Product/Process Owners, project leadership, and executive stakeholders to drive delivery, remove impediments, and ensure projects remain aligned with business priorities.

Experience supporting cloud, cybersecurity, infrastructure, IT operations, or other enterprise technology initiatives is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate is a strong facilitator and communicator who can operate comfortably at both the team and program levels, maintain strong project discipline, and provide clear visibility into project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including:
• Sprint Planning
• Daily Standups
• Sprint Reviews
• Backlog Refinement/Story Grooming
• Sprint Retrospectives
• Keep Scrum teams organized, focused on priorities, and on track to meet sprint and project commitments.
• Partner with Product Owners and Process Owners to organize, maintain, and prioritize product backlogs.
• Ensure Jira stories are accurately maintained and reflect current status, priorities, dependencies, and progress.
• Develop and maintain Jira boards, project plans, milestone tracking, and other project management artifacts.
• Monitor project scope, schedule, cost, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
• Own project-level risks, issues, and impediments, escalating concerns appropriately and driving them toward resolution.
• Provide regular status updates for executive and leadership reporting, highlighting key milestones, accomplishments, risks, issues, and blockers.
• Establish effective communication plans across project teams, leadership, and key stakeholders.
• Serve as a liaison between leadership and delivery teams, ensuring priorities and expectations are clearly communicated.
• Support Process/Product Owners with backlog preparation and prioritization and ensure teams are prepared for Program Increment (PI) Planning and PI demos.
• Assist Process Owners and Managers with coordinating content and presentations for PI demos.
• Provide program-level guidance on Agile, Scrum, and Jira standards and practices across ITSMO Scrum teams.
• Identify process gaps and promote consistent Agile delivery practices and expectations across teams.
• Ensure teams follow established PMO and Program Management standards for story management, reporting, documentation, and delivery.
• Support effective change management throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare project documentation, status reports, meeting materials, and other required deliverables.
• Track project milestones and ensure agreed-upon scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master supporting Agile technology teams.
• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) required.
• Strong hands-on experience with Jira and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience managing project risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and blockers.
• Experience working with Product Owners, Process Owners, project teams, and executive/leadership stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks, Scrum practices, and backlog management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong facilitation, leadership, negotiation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across technical and business teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting cloud, cybersecurity/security, infrastructure, IT operations, or enterprise technology projects.
• Experience working in an ITSMO or PMO environment.
• Experience supporting Program Increment (PI) Planning and PI demos.
• Experience providing Agile guidance or standardization across multiple Scrum teams.
• Experience working with enterprise technology programs involving multiple teams and stakeholders.
