What they need
About the role
Enjaz's GIS Department delivers two programmes in parallel. QiMAP is the geospatial platform we operate in production for Qi Card / International Smart Card — a merchant-discovery mini-app inside the SuperQi wallet, its API, an executive analytics portal, and a high-volume event pipeline — promoted through DEV → UAT → PROD with a client integration team on the other side of every release. Alongside it we build the Iraq Post / Ministry of Communications digital suite (website, shop, operations console, Iraq MAP navigation PWA, Smart Warehouse) towards scheduled client demonstrations. The work spans more than a dozen repositories with a PR-based workflow
and is multi-team by nature: frontend, backend, GIS/routing, DevOps, UI/UX and QA all converge on shared release milestones.
We are hiring a Scrum Master to bring predictable, transparent delivery to this environment: running the Scrum ceremonies, protecting the team from mid-sprint disruption, making progress visible to internal and client stakeholders, and steadily improving how the team works.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate all Scrum events — sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives — for the GIS engineering team.
- Partner with the Product Owner to keep a refined, estimated, bilingual-aware backlog; ensure stories carry clear acceptance criteria including Arabic/RTL and accessibility requirements.
- Coordinate cross-repo delivery: align admin, API, mini-app and infrastructure changes that must land together and in the right order across DEV, UAT and PROD.
- Run the production release rhythm for QiMAP: promotion windows, client sign-offs, post-deploy watches, and follow-up of production findings alongside planned sprint work.
- Plan around fixed-date client demonstrations and executive reviews: build the release runway, track blocking findings from QA reports, and drive them to closure before the date.
- Identify, make visible, and remove impediments — from blocked PRs and environment/VPN access issues to cross-team dependencies and unclear requirements.
- Track and radiate delivery metrics (velocity, sprint burndown, cycle time, escaped defects) and use them in retrospectives to drive concrete improvements.
- Shield the team from unplanned scope; channel urgent requests through an agreed intake and prioritization path with the Product Owner.
- Coach the team and stakeholders on agile practice; grow maturity in estimation, definition of done, and PR/branch discipline (feature branches into protected DEV, merge-based promotions to UAT/PROD).
- Facilitate risk and dependency management with DevOps for AWS deployments, and with QA for release-gate sign-off.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years as a Scrum Master (or 2+ years Scrum Master with 2+ years in a software delivery role) for software engineering teams.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM, PSM I, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple concurrent workstreams or component teams toward a single release.
- Working fluency with delivery tooling: Jira/Azure Boards or similar, GitHub-based PR workflows, and CI/CD status boards.
- Strong facilitation and conflict-resolution skills; able to run effective ceremonies with mixed technical and nontechnical audiences.
- Fluency in Arabic and strong working English — ceremonies and stakeholder reporting are bilingual in practice.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in fintech/payments, government, telecom, or postal/logistics delivery environments with production releases and fixed demo or launch dates.
- Enough technical literacy to follow conversations about APIs, web frontends, GIS/mapping, and cloud deployments.
- Experience with scaled or multi-team agile coordination (Nexus, LeSS, or pragmatic Scrum-of-Scrums).
- PSM II, Advanced CSM, or agile coaching certification.
