What they need

Most companies struggle with invisible friction, like approval cycles that lead nowhere or data that does not match up between different systems. At Tech Pipeline, we find where the gears are grinding and fix the logic so things move again without constant manual intervention.

The role We are currently supporting a major financial services provider to streamline their internal operations and fix broken data flows. This Scrum Master Internship exists to help keep our technical teams organized as we untangle legacy workflows and move them into stable, automated systems. You will work closely with our senior practitioners to ensure that blockers are identified early and that every technical fix is documented clearly for the client.

What you will do

  • Maintain the digital project board to ensure every task accurately reflects the current state of a fix or a system migration.
  • Take detailed notes during remote stand-ups to capture specific technical blockers that need immediate intervention from the engineering team.
  • Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) as we change how the client routes their financial data and reconciliation reports.
  • Monitor team capacity across different workstreams to ensure no one is stuck on a single spreadsheet error or API failure for too long.
  • Facilitate remote meetings by keeping the agenda focused on resolving technical friction rather than just providing generic status updates.
  • Help track the timeline for system migrations to ensure we hit critical milestones for our financial services partner.
  • Review basic system logs or transaction reports to confirm that a task marked as done actually solved the underlying operational problem.
  • Draft weekly summaries of progress that prioritize what was fixed and what remains broken, avoiding fluff or unnecessary strategy talk.

What we are looking for

  • A clear, logical approach to solving problems and organizing information in a way that others can easily follow.
  • Basic familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Linear, even if only from university projects or personal use.
  • The ability to write instructions that a person who has never seen the process before can follow without needing a follow up meeting.
  • Strong interest in how financial systems and operational workflows actually function behind the scenes.
  • Comfort working in a fully remote environment where written documentation is the primary way we communicate and share knowledge.
  • Persistence when a process is messy and requires digging through old spreadsheets or contradictory reports to find the truth.
  • Willingness to ask why until the root cause of a technical delay or a system error is identified and understood.
  • The ability to stay organized while managing multiple tasks that contribute to a larger system overhaul.

What we offer

  • This is a paid position with a monthly rate that is competitive and attractive for the current market and internship level.
  • A fully remote working arrangement that respects your time and eliminates the need for a daily commute.
  • Direct experience working on high-stakes projects for a major financial services provider where your work has a visible effect.
  • Mentorship from senior practitioners who value practical results and clear logic over corporate optics and buzzwords.
  • Exposure to real world operational consulting, focusing on the systems that keep large businesses running daily.
  • A work culture that values your focus and prioritizes clear, written communication over endless or unnecessary meetings.
  • The chance to see a project through from a broken, manual state to a fully stable and automated working system.

How we work Tech Pipeline operates on a leave when done philosophy. We do not stay on a project just to bill hours or attend meetings for the sake of appearing busy. Our team prefers thorough documentation and clear, asynchronous updates so everyone can focus on the technical work at hand. This is a fully remote role where we expect you to be self directed and curious about how things work. When a process is stable, the data is flowing correctly, and the client team can manage the new system themselves, we consider the job finished and move on to the next challenge.
