Scrum Master (PM background)

Scrum Master (PM background) | Contract | Cork, Hybrid

Location: Cork, onsite 1 day per week

I'm working with a client in Cork who need an experienced Scrum Master to join them on a day rate contract. What makes this one a bit different is they want someone who's come up through project management, so you'll be comfortable looking after delivery, Budget, timelines and stakeholders as well as running the ceremonies.

What you'll be doing

• Leading one or two Agile teams through sprint planning, standups, reviews and retros
• Owning delivery plans, RAID logs and reporting up to senior stakeholders
• Removing blockers and keeping the team focused on what matters
• Working closely with Product Owners to keep the backlog in good shape
• Coaching the team on Agile practices and helping them mature over time
• Managing dependencies across teams and third party vendors

What they're looking for

• 5+ years as a Scrum Master, with a solid project management background before that
• Proven track record delivering IT projects end to end
• Comfortable working in hybrid environments where Agile and more traditional delivery sit side by side
• Strong stakeholder management and the confidence to push back when needed
• Experience with budgeting for projects
• Good working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
• PSM, CSM or similar certification is a plus, as is Prince2 or PMP

Why it's worth a look

Only one day a week in the office in Cork, a good day rate and a client who's well known for extending their contractors.

If it sounds like you, drop me a message or send on your CV and I'll give you a call for a quick chat.
