Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Test Engineer with 8+ years of experience in software testing and test automation. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Java or Python, along with Playwright and/or Selenium, and a proven track record of designing and implementing scalable automation frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust UI and test automation frameworks.
• Develop automated test scripts using Java or Python with Playwright and/or Selenium.
• Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
• Analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and develop comprehensive test cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and document defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software releases.
• Review automation code and contribute to improving coding and testing standards.
• Identify opportunities to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing effort.
• Mentor junior QA/automation engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Software Testing / Test Automation.
• Strong programming experience in Java or Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Selenium WebDriver.
• Strong understanding of automation framework design and development.
• Experience with API testing and tools such as REST Assured, Postman, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with Git and source-control practices.
• Experience integrating automation suites with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies, and QA best practices.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes or cloud-based testing environments.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with performance or security testing.
• Experience working with distributed systems and microservices.
• Familiarity with test reporting and observability tools.
