SDET Engineer

**Position Summary:**As a Software Development Engineer in Test at Catalyst Partners, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the overall product quality by collaborating closely with software development team members. Your responsibilities will include supporting software development through planning, designing, and executing various software quality processes within the Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Design, develop, and execute test plans for both manual and automated testing
• Build and maintain automated tests in Python (pytest), covering unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end levels.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD-based deploys) with reliable quality gates
• Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement
• Triage and reproduce defects, create clear and actionable Jira tickets, and monitor defect trends to drive quality improvements.
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and refinement while helping streamline and improve our release process.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in end-to-end software quality assurance.
• Proficiency in PyTest framework for writing unit tests.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks using playwright, typescript.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, Python, C++). Basic understanding of C# and .NET concepts.
• Ability to work with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis, and SQL, and write queries to validate data and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline & Git version control.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, including Azure and GCP, and their core services.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, message queues, asynchronous workers, and common distributed-system failure scenarios.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a team-oriented environment.
• Bachelor degree in information technology or computer science or similar.
