Sea Pricing Team Leader

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Manage, update, and control Sea Freight (FCL/LCL) rate sheets on a weekly/monthly basis.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of quotations, surcharges, DEM/DET conditions, and timely responses in line with KPIs.
• Work closely with Sales to develop pricing solutions for key accounts, tenders/RFQs; analyze competitors and recommend appropriate pricing strategies.
• Coordinate with Procurement to negotiate rates, space allocation, and contracts with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and co-loaders.
• Work with overseas agents to obtain door-to-door rates and destination local charges , particularly for the US, EU, Intra-Asia, and China trade lanes.
• Monitor and analyze freight market trends and recommend appropriate buying and selling strategies.
• Lead, assign tasks, train, and evaluate the Pricing team ; develop and standardize SOPs and KPIs.
• Coordinate with Operations and Accounting/Finance to ensure quotation feasibility, control actual costs, and maintain healthy profit margins.

JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Economics, Business Administration or related fields.
• 4–5 years of experience in Pricing/Procurement within Freight Forwarding , including at least 1–2 years in a Team Leader or equivalent position .
• Strong knowledge of Sea Freight rates, surcharges, Incoterms and import-export procedures .
• Good network with shipping lines, co-loaders and overseas agents, particularly in the Northern Vietnam market , is a strong advantage.
• Experience in road/rail transportation to China or project cargo is preferred.
• Good command of English , both written and verbal, for daily communication with overseas agents and partners.
• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, dashboards); experience with CRM or pricing management systems is an advantage.
• Strong skills in negotiation, data analysis, problem-solving and decision-making .
• Good leadership, coaching and time-management skills; able to work effectively under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Proactive, market-sensitive, detail-oriented and highly responsible, with strong integrity in cost and margin control
