What they need
We are seeking an experienced seamstress specializing in alterations and repairs for men’s and women’s everyday clothing. This position is part-time, with the potential to transition to full-time.
Responsibilities
- Perform alterations, modifications and repairs on pants, jeans, shirts, blouses, jackets, and other garments.
- Operate sewing machines, use hand-sewing techniques, and operate pressing equipment.
- Handle various fabrics and garments appropriately.
- Complete alterations with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Requirements
- Previous professional experience in clothing alterations is required.
- Knowledge of men’s and women’s garment tailoring techniques.
- Strong sewing skills, speed, and attention to detail.
Interview Process
Candidates selected for an interview must complete a hands-on sewing assessment to demonstrate their technical skills, speed, accuracy, and knowledge of everyday clothing alterations.
Please note: This position focuses exclusively on everyday clothing alterations and repairs, not fashion design or garment creation.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
