About the Role:

Jagran New Media is looking for a hands-on Technical SEO Manager to lead the technical strategy, crawlability, indexation, performance, and architecture for large-scale websites. You will diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges across dynamic JavaScript applications and optimize our digital presence for both traditional search engines and modern AI engines like AI Overviews, Perplexity, and ChatGPT.

Key Responsibilities

Technical SEO & Site Architecture

• Lead end-to-end technical strategy and conduct regular site audits to optimize architecture, internal linking, URL structures, and crawl depth for scale.
• Direct crawl budget management, sitemaps, robots.txt, pagination, canonicalization, and log file analysis.
• Own Search Console management, diagnosing and resolving crawl, indexation, canonical, soft 404, redirect, and server errors.

JavaScript SEO & Rendering

• Troubleshoot rendering, hydration, and indexation issues across modern JS frameworks like React and Next.js.
• Apply technical SEO solutions tailored to Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Client-Side Rendering (CSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), and Incremental Static Regeneration (ISR).

Core Web Vitals & Performance

• Perform CWV and DOM performance audits, evaluating Speed Index and resource loading paths.
• Partner directly with engineering teams to scope, prioritize, and implement performance fixes.

Schema, AEO & AI Search (GEO)

• Implement advanced JSON-LD structured data and entity-based markup to secure rich results.

Analytics & Reporting

• Track key metrics including index coverage, crawl efficiency, Core Web Vitals, organic traffic, and AI search visibility using GA4, Looker Studio, and BigQuery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of dedicated Technical SEO experience managing enterprise-level websites with 100k+ URLs.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Next.js rendering behavior.
• Proven track record of improving Core Web Vitals and resolving complex indexation issues.
• Hands-on proficiency with Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Sitebulb, Ahrefs, Semrush, Botify, Chrome DevTools, and Lighthouse.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering and product teams.
• Experience with media, publishing, or multi-million URL platforms.
• Basic proficiency in SQL, Python for automation, and BigQuery.
• Practical understanding of GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) and LLM search discovery.
