Position Overview

Standard Event Rentals seeks experienced, motivated Seasonal Drivers to join our operations team. Drivers are primarily responsible for the timely delivery, installation, and pickup ofrental equipment, while ensuring every client experience exceeds expectations.

As a Driver, you are the face of Standard Event Rentals. This role requires professionalism, leadership, strong product knowledge, and the ability to manage crews and schedules in a fast-paced event environment.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery, Installation & Pickup

• Safely drive SER vehicles to deliver, install, and pick up rental orders
• Read, understand, and execute orders, shipping comments, venue notes, and labor instructions
• Perform accurate product counts before leaving the warehouse and at job sites
• Identify, report, and document discrepancies or damages immediately to Dispatch
• Obtain client sign-off on orders when required

Crew Leadership & Management

• Direct and manage installation crews onsite
• Assign tasks and ensure efficient, safe setup and breakdown
• Ensure crew members take required rest and meal breaks without disrupting schedules
• Notify Dispatch if any team member is absent or late (15 minutes prior to departure)

Communication & Operations

• Check in with Dispatch at the start and end of each shift
• Communicate with Dispatch regarding: Arrival and departure from job sites, Meal and rest breaks, Product issues, shortages, or damage
• Call dispatch immediately if there is an employee injury, vehicle accident or property damage.
• Upon return to warehouse connect with dispatch team to complete accident or injury paperwork before leaving for the day
• Assist with unloading trucks at the warehouse when requested
• Follow all venue rules, loading procedures, and site-specific guidelines
• Protect venue surfaces using carts, blankets, and protective materials
• Communicate with venue management when clarification is needed
• Qualifications
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Previous experience in event rentals, logistics, installation, or driving preferred
• Leadership or crew management experience strongly preferred
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment, including lifting and carrying up to 50lbs continuously throughout an entire shift, and walking/standing for extended periods during the full shift.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
